Vacancy - Alpine Presbytery
A Team Leader is being sought for an exciting restart mission in rural Mid-Canterbury
Alpine Presbytery has established a Development Unit in the Methven-Rakaia-Mayfield areas.
The half-time ministry position, for an initial 5 years, is with and among the people who have been part of the recently closed Plains Presbyterian Church.
The closure has come out of a determination to reconfigure things for a new season including moving from most of the buildings. We’re having a go at putting the net out on the other side of the boat.
We’re hoping that an energetic, organised, thoughtful, faithful, pastoral person will sense a call of God to serve in this mission as we look to find creative ways to be church in this new season.
The half-time ministry Team Leader will be based in Mid-Canterbury and work closely with the Presbytery-led Development Team that has three local people on it..
A half-time Methven-based seedling ministry is also being planned.
If this is sparking something in you please contact Abi Trevathan for more information.
Expressions of interest should be with the Executive Officer Martin Stewart by 15 July 2024
