Beyond the Sidelines: Bringing mission back to the centre!

An online workshop for mission enablers, local leaders and anyone passionate about what God is doing in the world!

Mission is both the calling of the whole church and God sends individuals, as a vital expression of that calling. But less people are being sent, and mission can easily drift to the sidelines of church life.

This workshop explores what it looks like to lead mission toward the centre—without pressure, and without falling into outdated models. You will leave with clarity for your context and support for next steps.

These three sessions include video, guided discussion, and printed resources, hosted by Prof David Tombs.

The sessions are designed for churches and small groups, and anyone is welcome who wants to learn more. We hope the sessions might encourage church leaders to host their own Thriving in this Land group.

To register please email theology@otago.ac.nz and indicate which of the sessions you plan to attend. We encourage you to attend all three sessions if possible.

Attendance is free but all participants are encouraged to make a personal donation of $10 direct to Common Grace for each session attended. Free parking should be available in the Arts Building car park (subject to availability) or nearby.

Online training sessions for Treasurers

Kia ora Treasurers,

We are pleased to once again offer a series of online training sessions for Treasurers, facilitated by Rowena Janes.

These sessions are free of charge and are designed to support you in preparing your year-end financial statements, as well as providing guidance on common tax, accounting and payroll issues. The sessions will also include practical advice on key financial processes and reporting requirements.

Each session will run for one hour, from 6PM to 7PM, and will include approximately 50 minutes of training material followed by a 10-minute Q&A.

Please note that numbers are limited for each session, so early registration is recommended.
