This is part of a new series of trainings for pastoral ministry and mental health: https://www.conversationscounselling.nz/seminars.html

Please note that Solid Ground is new material, written by myself and peer reviewed by NZ leaders in Christian counselling and mental health. It seeks to offer a Biblical framework for understanding mental health, and to integrate current best-practice thinking around safe pastoral care. Solid Ground aims to be accessible and relevant to all Christians, and is especially for lay people with pastoral responsibility, such as small-group leaders and those on pastoral care teams. Ministers also most welcome. It is not therapy or supervision, but a short-course introduction to mental health first aid from a Christian perspective.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

My calling is to assist the church to address the growing mental health crisis in our communities.

Please visit my website (https://www.conversationscounselling.nz/seminars.html) to check out what’s coming up next year, including a training on Hoarding (I’m excited for that one!), Listening Skills for Christian Couples, and some retreat days. I’ll keep you posted.
