Matthew Semple
Strategic Portfolio Manager (Property Enabler)
As Synod’s Property Enabler, I lead a strategic assessment of property assets and parish needs. This will be done through a Survey that identifies, consolidates, and classifies parish needs and issues; reports on the current use of Synod properties; identifies major maintenance requirements and capital projects; and assesses how fit for purpose the properties are. The Survey will include questions about mission, property, and people, as well as their potential and limitations. Synod will use this information to guide long-term strategic planning and funding decisions that support mission-focused growth and sustainability.
I have many years of professional experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, church, heritage, and community projects in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and Europe. I understand the rising tide of regulation and compliance, and I bring practical construction know-how, clear analysis, and creative strategy to turn complex property issues into workable plans with a mission mindset.
I work alongside your parish office bearers and property team, listening and documenting building issues, challenges, and needs. This shared picture will help Synod target support and help your leaders make confident property decisions. My heart is for mission and wise stewardship.
