Limestone Plains

Our church community is very much like a family. We are just a small and aging congregation, mostly rural based. Many come from farming backgrounds.

We do not have a minister, Tony Strang is our Moderating Elder and Reverend Tekura Wilding is our Interim Moderator. We have a variety of excellent speakers each Sunday both lay and Ordained.

We have Music and Movement for pre-schoolers and their Mums [Dads and Grans]. It is held during term time at Isla Bank Sunday School hall, which is next to the church at 10am to 11:30am.

We provide a happy safe environment and have lots of fun. We especially welcome new families to the district.

Study groups are organised regularly. Sadly no Sunday school. But if we do have children, material is always available.

Because we operate two churches, our services are in rotation. We have two weeks at Waimatuku then one week at Isla bank [2 Union St, Isla Bank] a notice is posted on the church doors with the relevant dates.

On months with five Sundays we have a combined service with other Western Southland parishes. The date and time are advised on the same notice.
