Mornington Methodist Church is celebrating 150 years
Mornington Methodist Church is celebrating 150 years of Methodism in Mornington over the weekend Friday 11 – Sunday 13 September 2026.
Guided by the whakataukī Titiro whakamuri, Kōkiri whakamua – look back and reflect, so that you can move forward, it will be time to look back and celebrate our achievements, but also to look forward to what we wish to achieve in the future.
Mornington Methodist Church has long been known for exceptional music, which we will honour with a concert featuring talent from within the congregation and outstanding local musicians. We will remember ministers, past and present, at a gala dinner, and all are welcome to attend a Sunday morning service with current presbyter Adam Baker presiding and a sermon by Dr Te Aroha Rountree, President of The Methodist Church of New Zealand, Te Hāhi Weteriana o Aotearoa.
