Rev. Dr. Wayne Te Kaawa is Kaiako Matua, Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Theology at St Johns Theological College in Auckland. He has been the Moderator of Te Aka Puahou, the Presbyterian Māori Synod, and also taught at Otago University. He brings a big heart and profound connections in his own whakapapa to the Christian story in Aotearoa. His most recent book is ‘Jesus in Indigenous Māori Understanding: A Contextual Biblical Interpretation of Jesus, Land, Genealogy, and Identity’.
